Trendspotting: Chest Plate Necklaces

I’m a huge neck accessory enthusiast. So much so, that you’ll rarely catch me with a bracelet or ring, but you’ll ALWAYS catch me with something around my neck. Scarf, tie, lariat, cravat, choker(I’m 90’s), you name it, I got it. Though after perusing The Face Hunter this morning, I realized that one thing missing, a chest plate. I guess I hadn’t put much thought into it, because I’ve never stumbled upon one in person but now, I can’t get the idea out of my head.

The chest plate is one of the bolder neck accessories, which is why i like it. It is comprised of two strands of chain or string, that connect to one, big, eye catching pendant. Pendants can range from kitschy plastic accouterments(my fav are the girl’s glasses below) to indigenous inspired feathers or metalwork.

Thanks to The Face Hunter, I am on the look out for one(or 5) of my own, and if you love neckwear, you should be, too.
