It is finally here. What many of us have been looking forward to…Lollapalooza. As Lollapalooza gathers many of us to Grant Park this weekend to the sounds of many of our favorite bands and artists under the sun and stars we are once again able to thrown on some of our favorite summer outfits. Although it’s sad to see summer come to a winding end soon, music festivals are what make our summers feel like true summers.
Another thing that makes summer so great is the music festival fashion. Music Festivals are one of the greatest places to catch some of the city’s best street style. Vintage band tees, high-waisted shorts, fedoras, and summer mini dresses bring back images of Woodstock days and times when all that mattered was what band was coming on next and not the crowds of people smashed together in the blistering heat.
Festival fashion was not and is not about being sexy and trendy but instead about comfort, individual style, and most importantly…the music.
So take a few pointers from the fashion eye catchers at music festivals around the country such as Coachella, All Points West, and Siren Music festival and throw on your favorite flats, your airiest blouse, those great pair of shorts in your closet that just seem to fit so perfectly, finish it off with a staple necklace and run off to catch your favorite band.
