{{Midwest}} Minneapolis: Fall Fashion Week has Arrived!

Today I happened to look-up while shuffling between classes, to catch a glance of a few leaves begin to fall and collect on the sidewalk. This site reminded me that Minnesota’s fall fashion week is upon us, and before you know it, I will have an excuse to break-out my new boots and pairs of warm tights. September 18th- 27th marks the line-up of events for our great state, and below are a few of the fabulous shows and events that I am looking forward to. You can also view the full calendar and additional ticket info here. I recommend breaking out your planner and plotting your outfits ahead of time, so you can take the evenings and weekends by storm.
Envision
Friday September 18, Doors: 8PM, Runway: 10PM-12:30AM
Envision is an electric double feature with two runway shows for the price of one. The shows focus on hair styling, coupled with clothing featured by local designers and boutiques such as: Amanda Christine, Arwyn Birch, Carmichael Claith, Cliché, Drama, Emily Weich, Jenny Carle, Kjurek Couture, and V-State, to name a few. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds benefit The Young Survival Coalition- a breast cancer research fund, so you can take comfort in knowing that your evening isn’t just about downing cocktails and eyeing your next fall purchase .

Charmed Life
Wednesday September 3, 6PM-9PM
Charmed Life is the perfect opportunity to mingle with others in the fashion scene. The backdrop for this marketplace shopping event is the home décor showrooms of International Market Square. Charmed Life includes the opportunity to shop local and independent clothing and jewelry designer’s wares, along with the goods of local clothing boutiques, all in one space. Shopping is only the main event, as there will also be cocktails, appetizers, swag bags, a live fashion shoot and DJ’s Millions Billions and Tendercakes pumping tunes all night long.

Adorn – MNfashion Week on Grand Avenue
Thursday September 24, 5PM-9PM
On Thursday evening, Saint Paul takes its turn to host the fashion bash of the week. Much like NYC’s “Fashion’s Night Out,†Adorn combines the atmosphere of a party with one of my favorite pastimes- shopping. Stop by the participating boutiques and businesses along Grand Avenue to mingle with local designers, shop exclusive trunk shows and to view the latest in hair and make-up trends. After getting your money’s worth on Grand Avenue, there is also time to hop on over to the other side of the river for the evening festivities.

Kjurek Couture Exclusively Fall Runway Show

Local Fashion darling Kimberly Jurek will be sending her bohemian and gypsy inspired collection down the runway at the posh W hotel.
