Fun fact: If you’re swiping on a Midwest dude’s Tind er pic, there’s a 100% chance he’s flexing a hockey jersey. It’s basically part of the “trust me, I’m loyal” starter pack.

When I hear “hockey,” I don’t just think ice, fights, or weird facial hair. I think Chicago — specifically because literally everyone owns at least three things with a Blackhawks logo on it. Six Stanley Cups later? Yeah, they earned that obsession.

So when I started seeing some of my favorite celeb babes rocking hockey jerseys, I was like, “Okay, this is cute… but also kinda ironic.” Like sporty Spice Girl meets low-key ‘I stole this from my ex’s closet.’

I flirted with the idea of snagging one for myself, but then I remembered I’m more “basic athleisure” than “I’m the goalie.”

But then fashion got wild.

Celine, Louis Vuitton, and Moncler basically said, “Let’s make hockey jerseys fancy,” and suddenly it wasn’t ironic — it was iconic.

Now? I’m fully invested.

I’ve got a bid on a kid’s size large red Blackhawks jersey on eBay right now. (Because why pay full price when you can pretend you’re a giant?)

This spring, I’ll still be doing my flirty, sporty-spice-meets-Rihanna thing, but come Halloween? Watch out. I’m going full Wayne Campbell — party on, y’all.
