DIY: Denim Accessories

Denim resurfaces in a major way for fall. Among the many denim trends that I am craving this season are: denim shirts, distressed denim shorts over opaque black tights, and studded pieces.
I also plan on crafting a few denim accessories to personalize my fall wardrobe. I will be turning a pair of my father’s old and already partially distressed Levi’s into a shredded edge square scarf with a pocket. Above are also some fantastic examples of denim pieces that can be made by hand. The following are my favorite tools for distressing denim that I suggest you use to make accessories your own:
-Cheese grater
-Pumice Stone
-Steel Wool
-Bleach
-Scissors
-Fray protectant (to seal the edges of the fraying so they don’t completely unravel) this can be found at any craft store
So, speak up my “Blue Jean Baby,†what will you be creating this fall?
