Movies: The Flaming Lips Christmas Movie is Playing This Weekend!

For some, the best thing about Christmas is the presents, for us, it’s the movies. So many many classics that we wait all year to enjoy while we’re lazying around in our pjs eating leftovers. Elf, Die Hard, Christmas Vacation, Love Actually…need we go on?

While it’s not a staple of the season, one to watch is  “Christmas on Mars: A Fantastical Film Freakout Featuring the Flaming Lips”. A weird, wild tale about the band’s holiday escapades in outer space. Many a horrific hallucination is had in this film. If you are a fan of Wayne Coyne, we highly recommend catching this flick at the monthly installment of “Cinema Minima” at Cole’s(2338 North Milwaukee Avenue) this weekend.
