French cognac brand, Hennessy has teamed up with contemporary pop artist KAWS to create a one of a kind bottle. The Henny X KAWS collab is labeled with the artists signature XX’s and a knockout neon geometric-print. To celebrate the alcohol-infused artwork in Chicago, the brand, along with, @Superfun and St. Alfred, held a quaint dinner at Blackbird. Select media, foodies, and urban influencers made up the list of attendees.
The menu was completely-infused with various forms of Hennessy from the drinks at cocktail hour down to dessert. A fave amongst the group was the “Smoked Ham and Hennessy Whipped Cream”, an accoutrement for the butternut squash soup served during the first course.
The intimate setting and perfect soundtrack –Pharrell, Kanye, and old Jay Z– helped bring KAWS’ vision to life – “Friends Work Music Art It’s Important To Find The Right Blend” – as he is quoted on the back label. Guests left with a limited-edition tote and a bottle to adorn their home bar cart.
