PUSH PLAY: LANA DEL REY “BLUE JEANS”

A man laying on the ground with his eyes closed.

I don’t know a whole lot about this Lana Del Rey gal other than I’m drawn to her music which presents itself as nostalgic yet modern melancholic soul with a dash of hip-pop.

The sad glamour, the sultry deep voice, the heavily-glossed full pout, the quasi-bouffant, the overall juxtaposition of a beautiful, broken hearted twenty-something’s ballads inspired by a sound much older and wiser.

A few weeks ago I scooped up “Video Games†for my iTunes and am eagerly awaiting more from her.

A limited edition 7-inch picture disc vinyl, featuring “Video Games†and “Blue Jeans†will be available October 17th via Stranger Records.
