Latest Obsession: Grandpa's Gold Watch

I’ve never been a watch wearer. I mean, that’s what a cell phone is for right? I do, however, like gold accessories and the aesthetics of a large-faced, clunky watch on a dainty wrist. Toss on a few random bangles and bracelets, and you’ve got a well designed wrist from day to night, Monday to Sunday.
The Alice and Wonderland quality of this Betsey Johnson watch face adds a fun quirk. The gold on gold style of the Bulova watch is chic, a la Elle Macpherson. The Quartz watch’s leather band is English countryside while the Juicy watch offers a subtle bling.
Don’t have a $100 to drop on a watch? Me neither. I’ve found really great alternatives for under $30 at Walgreens, “super stores” (Target, Wal-Mart, etc.) and even some gas stations. Make sure to look in the men’s section. Their watches are designed with bigger faces and chunkier bands. The battery might stop working within the week, but that’s why you’ve got a cell phone.
