To Do: Glamorama 2008

Macy’s Glamorama fashion show is back for its 10th year in a row and this time the theme is an 80s ‘Pop Candy Arcade’. The show will take place at the Chicago Theatre next Friday, August 22 at 8 sharp. Fall fashions from Macy’s 28 Shop(SM) will be featured including looks from Marc Jacobs, CNC Costume National, Ports 1961 and more.
Keeping with the theme, the show will be headlined by the none other than 80’s chart-toppers Cyndi Lauper and MC Hammer.
After the show, guests are invited to attend the after party on the 7th floor of Macy’s on State Street. The party is sure to be a true blast-from-the-past boasting a Rubik’s Cube lounge, Guitar Hero battles to ’80s hits and attendants roaming the party serving our favorite childhood candies(POP ROCKS®, Hubba Bubba and Nerds, to name a few!).
Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 312-902-1500, visiting or contacting the Chicago Theatre box office. Ticket prices from $50 to $1000 and benefit the Art Institute of Chicago.
For more information, call the Art Institute of Chicago at 312-443-3710.
