Beauty Mark: Minx Nails

How neat are these nails?!? Minx, a company based out of California, makes these awesome nail coverings made of a solid film front with a heat-activated backing. Rihanna, Beyonce, and Katy Perry are all fans.

I have yet to try these out but from what I understand, Minx is applied under a heat lamp while the technician molds the film to the shape of your nails, almost like a shrink wrap – no smudging!

The whole process takes about 30 minutes and costs anywhere from about $30 – $80, depending on the salon and the complexity of the design.

They offer a wide variety of prints and solids in varying finishes, from shiny chrome to matte leather. Minx does offer training kits you can purchase on their website if you want to try these out at home, but they’re pretty pricey.
