Lola is No Lolita
I was reading FabSugar a few minutes ago and I got kind of pissed when I saw the picture above attached to a poll entitled, “What Do You Think About Youngsters Dressing Too Old?”
First of all, “youngster”?! What, are all their readers 80?
Anyway, the real reason I became peeved is because they are showing pictures of Lola Leon, Madonna’s 12 year old daughter, in patterned stretch pants and oversized shirts and claiming that it’s an adult look. I don’t know about you but I was wearing the exact same thing when I was 12, okay, actually 10. Like, literally.
The only difference is that my stretch pants were from 5-7-9 and most likely floral, neon, or houndstooth.
I think by “too old” they actually meant “like hipsters”, which is a lifestyle that seems to evade them at that website.

I think she is 12 and papers need to leave her alone. Thank god I wasn’t all over the news at 12. What is that, sixth grade? Ugh.
