Recessionista: My Own Shade Of Jade

jade
By now we all have heard that green is the must have nail color for Fall, specifically of the Chanel Jade variety. The price tag on the it shade: $25. For most of us, spending that much money on a single bottle of nail polish means giving up a couple bottles of wine or a sushi dinner for one and that’s not an option. Instead of getting green with envy, I decided join the pack by making my own shade of jade.
I went to my nail salon yesterday to do a little experimenting. I had my manicurist put a base of Apple Frozentini(brand unknown)- a minty pastel green and had her top it off with a Color Club’s Wild Child- a bright neon green.
Lucky for me, the combo worked. I came out with an eye catching light green that I’m excited to sport for the next couple weeks.
If you don’t have the extra cash either, do it yourself by following the same formula I did. Light green first and bright green second. You’ll have your very own it shade in no time!
