2. Matte Polish: “All of the color, none of the shine.â€Â Ithink this looks like the manicurist forgot the top coat but I don’tmake the rules. OPI’s ($9) and Zoya’s ($6) matte collections are your best bets.
3. Ombre Nails: Way cool and a great way to get use out ofyour bolder colors while also making it original. Tip: You can do thisat home! All you need are two shades of polish (in the same colorfamily, preferably) and a paper plate. Play around with the colors tocreate your own set of hues. Try Essie’s Looking for Love and Damsel In A Dress ($8) for a purple look.
4. Metallics: They might look intimidating but metallics actually serve as a neutral so this trend is really quite wearable. Check out Revlon’s Gold Get ‘Em ($4) or Essie’s Steel-ing the Scene ($8).
5. Red: Timeless, classic, always in season. For darkerskin, stick to a truer red and for fairer skin choose shades with abluer base. People love OPI’s Big Apple Red ($9).
