Latest Obsession: HeadHoods

You may have seen HeadHoods in various locales. These oddly startling hoods almost always get a second glance when passerbys first notice the “second head” resting on the first head. From Marilyn Monroe to the Lego man, Headhoods has a second personality for everyone.

The hoodies are delicately hand-printed on American Apparel sweatshirts in a small Brooklyn studio apartment by mastermind designer/musician Clinton Van Gemert. The growing production came out with Kanye, Michael Jackson, and “Big Baby” hoodie designs in January. You may have seen these second faces at the Inaugration recently, where HeadHoods were selling Obama support hoodies.

I’m having trouble deciding between the gorilla or lego head. Hmmm, you’ll have to wait until I walk by. And lucky for my budget, all hoodies are in the $50 range!
