Throughout my entire life I’ve been obsessed with fashion. I love every aspect of it from high end garments to 2 dollar tee shirts. But right now, a new love has entered my life…politics.
I can’t explain it. I’ve voted in two elections and never cared as much as I do today. Maybe it’s because the repercussions of this recession have hit me so hard this time around(less shopping trips, rare mani/pedis). So when I see the {fingers crossed} next first lady sporting another recessionista-friendly outfit, this time from J. Crew(and one that I would definitely wear,too!) it gives me hope. Hope that I can spend more than $50 dollars on an outfit again and feel okay with it.
And even though I know the ‘hope’ I’m feeling is just a subliminal message from the upper eschilon of politcos, I still can’t help but feel like Barack Obama + Michelle Obama x The White House = More Shopping For Me.
Ultimately, it goes back to my first passion, fashion, and I’m all for it.
