Back in 2000 when Nelly was singing E.I. and rocking a band aid under his eye I would never imagine he was foreshadowing trends to come. I actually remember making fun of that band aid to great extent but 8 years later, his faux pas has become fashion.
According to a recent article, band aids are the newest accessory since their fashion-forward redesign. Popular designers like Herchcovitch and Marc Jacobs have both created sets and Fabian Seibert, a German designer, has even adorned them with Swarovski crystals
Of course, you can still wear them to cover an actual cut but that’s just not as cool, so be on the lookout for “disabled fashion” as a trend.
