Inspiration: Barbie at NYFW

Barbie’s 50th anniversary party made a stop at Fashion Week. Barbie, the always fearless and confident woman, didn’t back down from the recession. It was fun, flashy and pink!
The show seemed like a challenge straight from Project Runway–Heidi Klum was even in the front row. 50 designers, including Marchesa, Derek Lam, Rachel Roy, and Calvin Klein, recreated their own looks inspired by 50 years of Barbie. The traditional looks, pink frills, big bouffants and sophisticated styles, were in full force, but some futuristic looks have Barbie prepared for the next phase of her life.
