Going Green: Skunk Funk

I know what you are thinking, and no, Skunk Funk isn’t a voodoo spell to be cast upon horrible ex’s. On the contrary, Skunk Funk or SKFK is a hip, eco-friendly clothing and apparel company.
I recently had the pleasure of viewing pieces from their Spring/Summer collection on display at the Living Green Expo in St. Paul, MN and was very impressed by both the versatility and the fabulous garment choices in this collection.
The concept of this line brought to mind a hip urbanite with weekend plans outside the city. Skunk Funk utilizes many eco-friendly fabrics in their current line including: organic cotton, soy and bamboo. The designs are casual with a funky edge, illustrated with zipper detailing and bright graphic prints. They are also multi-functional with some of the clothes being reversible and detachable. These are a great combination of design elements for men and women, who are generally keen on clothing that is adaptable to a variety of different environments.
So push away those childhood thoughts that it “Isn’t easy being green†because with great designs like Skunk Funk’s hitting the Midwestern markets, it’s getting easier and easier.
Skunk Funk is sold locally at Cliche and Local Motion in Minneapolis and throughout the U.S.

  • I ADORE Skunk Funk, despite the company’s bizarre name. I’m yet to buy any of their wares, but ogle the fab dresses at Cliche every time I browse.
