What/When/Wear: Flower Power – How To Pull Off Floral Hot Shorts

WHAT: Hot shorts are my strange addiction. Every summer I buy a pair and wear them like I’m not 28, 29, 30, almost 31, and own the world. Last year I was all about the animal print but I’m really feeling the ladylike trend right now so the floral caught my eye.
This particular pair feels like pajama bottoms which is another reason I liked them.  A little bold for a dinner party? Maybe.
My first thought was to put on a plain white t (to de-sex them)  but, instead, I went with all black – turband, sheer blouse, purse, and shoes. More riskee than my usual but I managed to prep it up with my favorite pearl choker.
WHEN: Exile dinner party at Nellcote.
WEAR: Urban Outfitters Sheer Sleeveless Button Down, $49; Forever21 Aloha Print Floral Shorts, 17.80; Kate Spade Pearl Choker, $186; Elegantly Wasted Vintage Turband and Duffle Bag; KORS Michael Kors Two Strap Wedge Sandals, 199.50.
