High 5: We Celebrate Half A Decade of Blogging In Style!

With technology moving so fast, it’s more commonplace for blogs to be started and abandoned than cultivated. Leaving us, I mean, everyone, pissed that they can’t use “unbeweaveable.tumblr.com” for their own photo project on rogue wigs throughout the world. (Ugh, some people!)

With a lot of hard work and support from some great contributors over the years, The MidWasteland didn’t turn into one of those vacant motels on the internet superhighway. Instead, we surpassed the average two year lifespan(in a time when street style blogging wasn’t as prominent :::pats back:::) and made it to five. In internet years, that’s like 60. So, we’re pretty proud right now.

To celebrate, we threw a party to commemorate all the fun we’ve had, the obstacles we’ve overcome, and, most importantly, the cool local women that inspire us to keep going(and growing) every day. We don’t know if we’ll still be here in five more years but, no matter what happens, the last five years have been a blast…and we have the pics to prove it!

You might have caught a peek at our backyard bash on Refinery29 yesterday but here is the full scoop and check out the photo gallery for the pics you didn’t see.
