Hard Rock-ing at The Lollalooza Music Lounge

mbmIt’s early Wednesday morn and I am FINALLY recovered from my music and celeb-packed Lollapalooza weekend.
The four day jaunt kicked off Thursday evening at The Underground for their Motorokr Pre-Party with Katy Perry. Though the rest of my days were spent at the Metromix.com music lounge in the swanky Hard Rock Hotel. The music lounge, located about a mile from the park, served as a getaway for artists and media alike.
The eco themed space was equipped with a schwag-filled gifting suite, with everything from Skullcandy headphones and designer sunglasses from Solstice to pampering beauty treatments, as well as, a pop-up restaurant called, the EastPort Cafe. The cafe was a highlight, offering a ton of tasty treats, a stage with live performances and ummm, AMAZING eye candy(Ben Jelen and Quddus…wowza!). But the artists weren’t the only ones having fun. Media were treated just as well, receiving a giant EastSport backpack full of goodies.skull
After long days of trolling for interesting outfits (and sipping on Ciroc cocktails galore!) I went home to rest up for my big nights back at the Hard Rock and boy, were they wild!
Every night held new artists, famous faces (including: Ashlee Simpson, Cool Kids, and Girl Talk), and live performances.
Friday: DJ Mom Jeans (Danny Masterson) and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings held down the fort. Saturday: Both musical Ronsons(Samantha and Mark)played, while their gorgeous gal pals, Lindsay Lohan and Daisy Lowe looked on. Spankrock was there, too and they(ALL 20 of them) rocked the house. Sunday: Chromeo, Rocktapussy and Phantom Planet closed down the weekend.
I’ve only gone to the last two but each year keeps getting better. I don’t think Lollapalooza 2009 can’t come soon enough…
