There is no such thing as East Village in Chicago. Sorry, there's not. Maybe some folks in real estate are trying to attract Michigan-raised hipsters with New York-sounding names.
1. "East Village" is short for east "East Ukrainian
Village". 2. There are signs hanging from the lamp posts that are
older than you and I combined that read, ""East Village". 3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Town,_Chicago#East_Village 4. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a neighborhood.
