Beauty Mark: Not Half Bad

I can’t believe I’m about to say this but holiday party season is upon us! This means fun with hair and makeup and lately I’m loving the half updo. Whitney Port (above) makes it elegant with waves and a part down the middle. The key here is no bangs. There’s something about bangs that instantly take this look from classy party girl to high school prom queen. The best part about it is that it’s super easy.
All you need are some bobby pins and/or some clear hair ties. I like Scunci’s 1. Classic Pins ($2 for 60 and they come in black, brown, and blonde) and clear 2. No Damage Poly Bands ($2.50 at most drug stores). This look works best on textured hair so give your ‘do a quick curl with a 1†to 2†roller, like 3. Bed Head’s 1 1/4†ceramic Styling Iron ($25). Finish it with tons of hairspray (my life motto) and voila.
